Dear Santa,
I have been very good this year. (well I at least tried to be as good as I could be.) And my cellphone is slowing dying. The number 8 button rarely works along with my battery does not last very long. I know that this is completely and totally my fault. I was the one who accidentally jumped into the pool with it (and it stopped working for a week) and I was the one who accidentally dropped it like a MILLION times. I haven’t even had my Motorola Razor for that long but it is slowing fading away. I would like for christmas…. the new Verizon Wireless Voyager! it’s so cool. it’s a mix between an iPhone and a Verizon Envy. I would love you so much more if I could get this for christmas.
Thank you, Santa!!!

today, after staying after at school for my research paper to be looked at by a teacher, me and my mom stopped by the Quantico Marine Base. I went into the Commissary and got a job application sheet. But it gave me information on where to submit my application online so when I got home (after homework of course), I went online and submitted my application. So… hopefully this time I’ll be able to get a job. I’m applying for cashier. (I have applied to Target and Shoppers in the past but got rejected. Target didn’t need me and I have to be 17 for Shoppers.) So… we’ll see how this goes!!! wish me luck!

i have this book called “Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff for Teens” by Richard Carlson and its a really good book. I haven’t read it in a while but the other day i picked it up and started where I had left off. And I looked at the title of the chapter and it was “Drop the Drama”. wow…. so here is what it said about dropping drama (these are short chapters by the way)…
“I asked Anne, a nineteen-year-old, the following question: “Looking back, what was the hardest ‘nonserious’ part of being a teen?” After thinking about it for a minute she said, “To me and a lot of my friends, it was probably the drama of daily living.” There’s no question that the teenage years can be filled with drama. On the other hand, there’s also no doubt that making the decision to drop (at least some of) the drama can equate to a much happier and more peaceful life.
The question is, “How do you do that?” Admittedly, it’s scary at first, but the only way that I’m aware of is to have the humility to admit that at least a portion of the things that you think of in dramatic terms aren’t quite as “life and death” as you sometimes make them out to be. In other words, we often allow ourselves to get all worked up and bothered about things that, on a second look, aren’t really that big a deal after all.
A friend, for example, might make a mistake or say something wrong. Rather than forget about it and get on with our day, we allow ourselves to feel offended and annoyed. We think about the mistake during the rest of the day, feeling more and more justified in our irritation. Many of us might even go home and tell others about it, or call a friend to commiserate, rather than simply letting it go. Many of these day-to-day incidents can be looked at in one of two way: as something else to dramatize and get upset over, or as yet another chance to let something go. And while it’s tempting to blow these types of things out of proportion, it’s ultimately better for your sanity, your friendships, and your happiness to learn to let them go.
As you learn to let some of these things go, you’ll find yourself experiencing far less stress and aggravation. You’ll be left with more mental energy and creativity in order to live life to its fullest.” — Richard Carlson, Ph.D.
(just to let you know i shortened it just a little so it wouldn’t be too long!)

Proverbs 1:7 “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction.”
First, to fear the Lord is not necessarily to be afraid of the Lord but it’s to understand His power and to give Him respect in it. We’re not be run away and be afraid of God but we are to give Him honor and respect. Second, it says that fools despise wisdom and instruction. We all are fools at some time in our life. We think we can live life without God’s help and instruction. We want to be in control. But we need the wisdom of God and the wisdom of our parents to help us get through our lives and they are to help guide us through life. We must rely on God every day of our lives.
Psalms 1:1-4 “Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers. The wicked are not so, but are like the chaff that the wind drives away.”
I have read these verses many times and I have memorized these verses. But this time when I read them, I got something different out of them. When I read verses 3 and 4, I got that a man who is faithful in God’s Word and is faithful in prayer is like a tree planted by the water that continually gets what he needs to grow and continually grows. But a man who is not faithful in God’s Word and prayer and strays away from God is like the wind. He goes away, but he will come back again. I found that I need to be like a tree, to be continually faithful in God’s Word and in prayer so that I can prosper and grow and mature spiritually.
